   The Seer is one of my favorite Big Country releases and I enjoy listening to it. The new version has been remastered and features singles, mixes and demos. A great addition to any Big Country fan's collection or to anyone who wants to listen to great music from one of the best bands, not only of the 's but currently/5(30).

   Peters fronted Big Country tours in and , and also sang and co-wrote Big Country's full-length album The Journey before returning to other projects. The version that opened the album The Crossing is almost one minute longer than the single, adding an extended drum intro.

   The Seer saw Big Country return to the sweeping Scottish sound that had made them famous on The Crossing.
