Hokey Pokey is an excellent and atmospheric folk rock album. Every song is made with a special care and is brilliantly performed so the entire collection sounds quite charming.

Jul 03,  · I have all of the Richard and Linda albums on CD (and Vinyl actually). As others have said, Hokey Pokey is a fun album. First Light? It's not great, imo. It's not so much the songs, it's the production. It's far too slick for my liking. It's not one I revisit often. Sunnyvista is as close to a disaster as Thompson ever got. It's, dare I say it.

g Vinyl LP! Hokey Pokey, Richard and Linda's 2nd album together, is a jollier release than its predecessor. Richard was a fan of Harry Lauder and Gracie Fields, and this inspiration can be seen in the Victorian style cover art, and audible on both the title track and 'Georgie On A Spree'.

Guitarist, songwriter, and singer Richard Thompson and his then-wife, the rich-toned singer Linda Thompson, released an incredible trio of albums for Island Records in the ’70s: I Want To See the Bright Lights Tonight (), Hokey Pokey, and Pour Down Like Silver (both ).
