Rhino's Summer Hits plays like a summertime mix tape with slightly better production values, gathering sunny-day singles like Mungo Jerry's "In the Summertime," Billy Stewart's soulful rendition of "Summertime," and the Lovin' Spoonful's "Summer in the City." Frat Rock was garage rock before there was garage rock -- big, dumb party music that was raw, ragged, and fun. Songs like "Double Shot of My Baby's Love" and "Louie Louie" -- singles that were so catchy and so simple, any band could cover them and sound good.

Wipe Out! () Released in This album contained the original version of ''Wipe Out!'', which was originally called "Kick Out!" but later renamed. At the time The Impacts did not think it was anything special and did not promote it. It was soon covered by The Surfaris, who had a #5 hit on Billboard with it. The Impacts remained obscure.

The first single, ‘She’s About A Mover’ is today classified as Tex-Mex but still falls nicely into the “garage rock” label. The Quintet’s first album also contained other garage rock-worthy songs, buy they’re probably best known for ‘Mendocino’, a pop song that graced the charts in (Mike Dugo).
